Triforce Sports Cricket Centre is an indoor coaching facilityand store in the inner western suburbs of Sydney. The trained, experienced coaches at Triforce contribute to the development of young cricketers throughout Sydney. Many of out clients are young athletes who have successfully commenced careers as professional cricketers or are looking to find places in representative squads. We also help train older athletes who have made cricket their profession. We also provide coaching assistance to schools and clubs in the form of coach education, programming and the provision of coaches. The coaches at Triforce can meet all your coaching needs!

What's On at Activate

We are fully into the pre-season phase of our longer training programs with quite a few players returning to The Centre for the first time since the end of last summer. Lots of strength and agility work is being done at the moment, so if you are not yet able to come in due to winter sporting commitments, try and have a look at a few of the agility drills I have posted here and spend 20 minutes or so 2 or 3 times a week working at your footwork! This will also feed into your strength and endurance work (you should be trying to get a few kilometers into your legs and - if you are a bit older - you should be doing a guided weights program).

Remember any work you do now will give you the edge over the guys who are not yet training! Set yourself up for a successful summer by working hard and efficiently NOW!!

We are getting great results using the new sidearm throwdown aids! The benefit to batsmen in terms of footwork, decision-making and recreating a more realistic training environment has been obvious! The coaches are finding they can throw almost as many balls in a 20 minute period as a bowling machine, but with the added benefit of a varied but controlled line and length as well as a lively pace. And the coaches are not getting sore shoulders!

Clubs are starting to train now so we wish all our players all the best in their trials and training sessions!

We will be watching closely, the development of Joe Mennie and Sandy Rogers who have obtained contracts with the S.A.C.A in Joe's case and Tasmania in Sandy's case. Both guys have worked hard at Activate and in their grade clubs and with Cricket NSW and can now call themselves professional cricketers! The next step is to get some First Class Games under their belts and start working towards a Baggy Green!

Speaking of which congratulations to Mitch Starc and Phillip Hughes who have just returned from a successful tour with Australia A to Zimbabwe. Phil is now off to Sri Lanka with the full Australian team so we wish him great success over there!
